About the Opportunity
AgWorld Equipment has an exciting opportunity for multiple full-time Journeyperson or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty/Agricultural Equipment Technicians, based in Kinistino, SK. We work 5 x 8hr shifts with an opportunity to work 4 x 10hr shifts during the slower season.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining high standards of service, safety, and efficiency in the repair and maintenance of agricultural equipment.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect and diagnose issues for a wide variety of farm machinery, including tractors, combines, cultivators, seeders, sprayers, etc.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
- Repair, adjust, and/or replace systems and components according to specifications, ensure all machinery is restored to optimal working condition, focusing on efficiency and reliability
- Perform updates and inspections; implement the latest updates recommended by manufacturers to enhance machinery functionality and longevity
- Maintain a record of repairs and parts used in our business system; ensure records are accurate and up-to-date for effective inventory management and to facilitate future servicing needs
- Participate in service calls when necessary
- Stay informed of new safety protocols and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must be a certified Journeyperson Agriculture Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, or a 3rd/4th Year Apprentice in these or a related trade. Experience working on Agco brands such as Fendt, Massey Ferguson, or Challenger is a strong asset. Experience with Diesel engines, along with a previous background in agriculture, mining, forestry, trucking, or construction is preferred. A valid driver's license is required.
